Wondering about that I ended up working on a Sailing Circus project, it's the only way I found to be able to travel a lot without big impact.
Of course doesn't work for all the cases and places, because travelling with the train on land I find it problematic for the transportation of all the material, but maybe it's enough to plan everything in advance so the equipment can be shipped before you :)

Saw this and thought it is also quite relevant to this topic. The impact of flying on the climate as it is often a crucial part of touring. Here is an interesting article: https://globalnews.ca/news/5475837/flight-shaming-climate-change-emissions/
What are some actions we can take when touring over long distances to lower our carbon footprint?

When touring with Pippin I would carry tupperware with me for leftovers so that I wouldn't have to take plastic or styrofoam takeaway containers. Definitely had some funny conversations with servers and other customers who liked the idea. I've also definitely tried to use a reusable camping cup for tea on an airplane, that one was met with lots of confusion (they tried to also give me a reusable cup) and felt a bit trivial but I guess everything counts. One of the things I struggled with a lot though was trying to avoid packaging in grocery stores, partially because depending on where we were there weren't always great options and partially because being on a bus every day made it difficult to keep fresh things. Would love to hear some more thoughts about sustainable eating habits while touring.
This is pretty helpful for touring too: https://greener.liveperformance.com.au/touring
Hello Folks. Do you know about LPA's IG Tool? Here is the link to help you work out your tour's carbon footprint: https://greener.liveperformance.com.au/lpa-ig-tools
